Billing Brook School

Students achieve their Arts Awards

This year Billing Brook school had 24 entrants into the Bronze Arts Award and our first ever Silver Award. After external moderation we are proud to announce that the entire group made up of Year 11's and Year 13's all passed!

Arts Award is a range of unique qualifications that supports anyone aged up to 25 to grow as artists and arts leaders, inspiring them to connect with and take part in the wider arts world through taking challenges in an art form - from fashion to digital art, pottery to poetry.

The awarding body responsible for Arts Award is Trinity College London. In England, Arts Award is managed by Trinity in association with Arts Council England and 10 regional Bridge organisations drive participation. More information about Arts Award can be found on their website: www.artsaward.org.uk

At Billing Brook we are guiding students through four out of the five Arts Award qualifications with an aim that every student will have gained at least one level by the time they leave. The four levels available across the school are Discover, Explore, Bronze and Silver. Information on the levels and their equivalents can be found here: https://www.artsaward.org.uk/site/?id=2706
