Billing Brook School

Welcome

At Billing Brook School, we are proud to be an all-age special school dedicated to providing exceptional education for children and young people with cognition and learning difficulties, as well as communication and interaction challenges. Currently 75% of our pupils are autistic, with cognition and learning difficulties. Our nurturing environment is tailored to meet the unique needs of each pupil, fostering growth, understanding, and progress. We are unable to cater for children and young people with a primary need identified as Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties or those working at age related expectations.

Our school’s ethos and ways of working are  encapsulated by our core values of kindness, curiosity, and belonging. These values guide our actions, interactions, and decision-making, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for everyone.

We embrace neurodiversity. Our teaching methods are tailored to accommodate the diverse needs of our pupil population, ensuring that every pupil thrives. We celebrate the unique strengths that arise from diverse minds and provide support to focus on building pupils’ communication, resilience, and independence. Our goal is to empower them to lead a life filled with meaningful and purposeful activities.

Our passionate staff members work tirelessly to support our pupils. From teachers to teaching assistants, therapists, administrative and site staff, everyone contributes to the success of our school. Their commitment and hard work make Billing Brook School a special place to learn and grow.
